PROGRAMME III : THE SELF DISCOVERY YEARS
For children aged 9 to 12

At this age, the pre - adolescent child is grappling with questions like who he/she is, and what his/her place in society is.

Pre - adolescents also have to deal with their sexual identity and social stereotyping of sexual roles. The negative outcome is confusion about future adult roles.

THE APPROACH

The programme facilitator creates an environment of warmth and respect. The child begins a process of self - discovery by translating self-learning to other relationships. The facilitator invites the child to face the limitations of life that anchor the child to the world of reality and make him/her aware of his/her responsibility.

FEEDBACK SESSIONS:

A feedback session is arranged at the end of every workshop to help parents put the learning to use on a day – to - day basis, rather than restrict the workshop’s learning to the duration of the workshop alone.
